Residence questions
When should I start my renewal?
The IND lets you apply in the months before expiry, and earlier is almost always better. We typically start preparing well before the window opens so submission day is a formality.
Do I need to speak Dutch for permanent residence?
Usually yes. Permanent residence generally requires passing civic integration exams, with exemptions in specific cases. We assess which requirements apply to you and how to prepare.
What happens to my permit if I lose my job?
It depends on your permit type. Highly skilled migrants, for example, get a search period to find a new sponsor. The key is acting immediately, so call us the week it happens, not the month after.
